Three years after Chinese aftermarket supplies manufacturer Print-Rite came out with its PR2 gear design that the firm claimed “saved” the industry from Canon’s dongle gear patent litigation campaign (see “Print-Rite Promotes PR-2 Gear Solution in Advance of Likely GEO for Canon” and “Print-Rite’s PR-2 Gear Gets U.S. Patent”), it has launched a new PR3 gear design.
